You have reached the personal page/portal of Jackie Plage. This is primarily meant as a landing page of sorts to point people to my interests and activities, as well as providing some information about myself and a way of contacting me.

My name, in case you hadn't already guessed, is Jackie Plage. More officially my first name is Jacqueline, (but only my mother insists on calling me that). My interests span a variety of subjects including writing and blogging, web development, open source, linux, music, poetry, photography and gaming.

I currently reside in Hull, East Yorkshire, UK, though I'm originally from Birmingham and have also lived in South London for many years. I'm 36yrs old, married to Carl and have a 16yr old daughter.

Family life keeps me pretty busy but aside from that I'm self training in an effort to break into web development professionally. Web design and development has long been a passion of mine, but as I suck with graphics I've decided to concentrate on learning code. I've also recently decided to return to university in the hopes of gaining a degree in Creative Writing (though these plans are currently on hold, I will get there eventually!).

The image on the right is my mugshot, and the one I use across all online profiles. Subject to change at all times of course, depending on my mood.

These are the things I'm actively involved in.

• UK Vapers - a forum I run dedicated to the sharing of knowledge and discussion about electronic cigarettes.
• Naxtr - my now sadly abandoned blog about technology, linux, open source / free culture. Lack of time recently prevents updates.
• Inkotica - my old, formerly anonymous but recently revived writing blog. Mostly (possibly bad) poetry.
• Thought Pixels - my random scribblings, hosted on the Posterous platform.
• jackieplage.com - my personal blog, infrequently updated.
• Vapers Network - a community dedicated to improving access and support for users of personal vaporisers (which includes electronic cigarettes). As well as being a member, I try to help out with technical admin duties where I can.
• Hull LUG - I'm the web admin for my local Linux User Group.
• Phoenix Legion Forums - I'm the administrator of these forums for the MMORPG guild I'm a member of.
• Phoenix Legion - website of the aforementioned guild, maintained by me.
